When does caring for your mental health become a top priority?
At any point, life can feel overwhelming or a bit too demanding. While you can be thriving in some areas of life, such as career, parenting or favourite hobbies; it is natural to be feel stressed, worried, or less capable in other aspects of life. Having a therapist you trust is a helpful way to process experiences, talk emotions through, and gain clarity on what is causing tension or frustration. Counselling is relevant for people with a variety of life experiences- whether your focus is parenting, a busy career, studies, competitive sports, or a combination of several things. There is truly no label around whose lives can be enriched through the therapy process. Just as many people book in with their family doctor to address physical health issues, it is helpful to see a therapist anytime the mind feels overwhelmed, unclear on the way forward, or busy with stressful thoughts.
It is a genuine pleasure to see clients feeling more empowered as they actively explore personal challenges and witness growth in themselves. Every small step of awareness or learning is a valuable step in making your well-being important.
When is a good time to see a counsellor?
If you're ...
Worried a lot of the time and it's become uncomfortable.
Frustrated or uncertain about a big change at the office or in your career path.
Stuck in an unhealthy relationship that is draining.
Ready to feel more confiden and grounded in dealing with challenges that come up.
Pulled between desire and responsibility, and want to find a balance that works for you.
We are called to be strong companions and clear mirrors to one another, to seek those who reflect with compassion and a keen eye how we are doing, whether we seem centered or off course…we need the nourishing company of others to create the circle needed for growth, freedom and healing.
